ABOUT Nicole Konsdorf

Nicole began her hockey journey at just three years old in Saginaw, Michigan, where she first learned to navigate the ice playing in local boys’ house leagues. Her passion for the game continued to grow, leading her to join the Freeland High School boys’ hockey team as a defenseman during her sophomore year.

Nicole elevated her play by joining the HoneyBaked 19U Girls AAA team in Detroit during the 2007–08 seasons. This pivotal period sharpened her skills and showcased her dedication and talent to scouts nationwide. Her hard work earned her a scholarship to the Lindenwood University Women’s ACHA Division I program, where she played from 2008 to 2011.

During her three years at Lindenwood, Nicole was part of an exceptional team that captured back-to-back national championships and earned a third-place national finish. In 2011, she received the honor of being selected to play for Team USA at the World University Games.

In 2021, Nicole transitioned from player to mentor, beginning her coaching career to share her knowledge, experience, and passion for the game with the next generation. She started with the Lady Liberty ADM program from 2021–2023, stepped into the 10U Elite AA head coach role in 2023, and currently coaches the 12U Elite team.

Nicole’s journey—from young skater to collegiate athlete to dedicated coach—has been defined by challenges, achievements, and invaluable lessons. As a coach, she remains committed to inspiring, developing, and guiding young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the ice.
